Hello, my name is Victor Moises Gutierrez Solis. I am a 3 rd year transfer majoring in Industrial
Engineering and Operation Research [IEOR]. I was born in San Luis Potosi, Mexico but raised all over
Mexico; I lived in 9 different cities. I moved to the states after I finished high school in Mexico. When I
first moved, I lived in Salem, OR. For a year, then I moved to LA, where I did my community college. As
the chair of a finance committee in LLS, my role in ensuring the financial stability and success of the
organization. I am responsible for developing and overseeing the budget, monitoring spending, and
ensuring that the club operates within its financial means.

¡Que ondas! My name is Rafael Grande and I am a junior majoring in business. I grew up and spent the majority of my life in San Salvador, El Salvador. I am a senior advisor at LLS, and decided to join (and stay) since it felt like a family away from home to me. As I’ve been torn amongst commitments, I have sought to maintain my engagement in the club for its unmatched people, liveliness, and warmth. ¡Espero que te unas al club!

I grew up with a strong sense of love for the humble communities that raised me. I am pursuing a career as an academic counselor to give back to them. I strive to be a mentor for students in the future in hopes of guiding them throughout their academic careers. In LLS I have found a strong sense of comunidad and belonging among a diverse group of professional and energetic individuals with all distinctive backgrounds! I look forward to meeting all the new members joining us this year !"

Hey everyone, my name is Cynthia Jimenez! I am a 3rd year majoring in Integrative Biology with a minor in Nutritional Science. My family is from Mexico, but I was born and raised in LA. I take so much pride in where I come from and am very grateful for the communities I grew up surrounded by; thus, I am very excited to be one of Action’s Co-Chairs alongside Alondra. As one of the Co-Chairs, helping create a strong connection between our members and the communities we hope to represent is very important. I hope to help break some of the barriers underrepresented communities endure through fundraising and acts of community service. It has been a rewarding and memorable experience working alongside active and passionate individuals to impact our local communities positively.

Hello there! My name is Fernando Sanchez and I'm a 2nd-year double majoring in Legal Studies and Geography. Both of my parents are from Michoacán, Mexico. I'm originally from La Puente; a town in Southern California located about 25 minutes east of Los Angeles! I am the Current Affairs committee chair. As the Current Affairs chair, I aim to create informational and meaningful presentations/posts about pressing issues surrounding Latin America.

Hello, my name is Camilla Rodriguez Torres; I am a third-year majoring in Political Economy with a concentration in Financial Economics and a Minor in Art History. I am from Ponce, Puerto Rico, but I graduated high school in San Juan. As Forum Committee Co-Chair, I am responsible for organizing inspiring and engaging forum events for the UC Berkeley community on pressing issues across Latin America. This year we are excited to host events on various topics, such as Farmworkers’ labor rights and the National Reorganization Process in Argentina.

Hola! My name is Malena Buffagni and I’m a current 3rd year here at Cal. I’m double majoring in Environmental Economics & Policy and Society & Environment. I was raised in LA but my parents are from Argentina, so I love drinking mate, playing fùtbol, and eating asados! I’m the current Co-Chair of the Forum Committee in LLS and am in charge of co-organizing and finding funding for our Forum events.

Hello, my name is Erika. I am a 3rd year double majoring in Economics and Data Science. My hometown is San Antonio, Texas, but my family is from Mexico, and I'm a first-generation Mexican American. I've been in LLS for three years: one year as core, and two years as Leadership Chair. As Leadership Chair, it's my job to support my LLS familia on matters of professional development and career readiness. My favorite thing about LLS is the culture and community, and I'm so thankful for this club for not only giving me a place where I belong but a place where I can grow as a student and a leader in my community.

Hola! My name is Arianna Laolagi and I am a first-generation college student in my 2nd year, majoring in Psychology and Legal Studies with a minor in Public Policy. I grew up in Beaverton, Oregon but I have spent the majority of my life in Los Angeles, California. I am mixed so half of my family is from Samoa and the other half of my family immigrated from Monterrey, Mexico! I am so honored to be Marketing Chair this semester, I oversee all of LLS' social media accounts, ensuring that we engage with followers online and that they are aware of the resources we provide.

Saludos! My name is Robert Mendoza Carrillo, and I am from a little town an hour north of Berkeley called Windsor. My parents immigrated here from Mexico at young ages seeking a better life that would allow them to realize their full potential. I am a second year sophomore studying Political Science with an emphasis in International Relations. I am also planning on completing a summer minor in Sustainable Business and Policy. I am serving on the Executive Board as the Operations Chair, charged with various logistical, administrative, and technical tasks such as event space reservations, member data collection, and website management. All of these efforts wouldn't be possible without my committee members, so shout out to them!
